Shimla, 14th August, 2022. The Indian Army has designed a new digital pattern camouflage combat uniform which is lighter, stronger and suitable for all terrains. The disruptive pattern dress has a mix of colours with earthen shades and olive green. The new pattern uniform has been designed keeping the security concerns of Military Establishments in mind and also to prevent wearing of unauthorized pattern combat dress by service personnel.
Army has already applied to the office of Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks and the Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) processes are expected soon. The newly introduced Combat Uniform will be available through the Central Procurement and Canteen Stores Department (CSD).
The Indian Army plans to take stern legal action against dealers who indulge in selling of unauthorised, similar looking uniforms and fabric keeping security concerns in mind. Also instructions have been issued to Army Personnel, prohibiting them to buy the new Uniform from unauthorised vendors.
All vendors/ Shopkeepers are hereby advised to refrain from stocking/ selling of similar looking uniforms and fabric. Also all tailors are also adviced to not to stitch the same as it would invite legal action against those violating the orders.
